Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your GetGround account by requiring something you know (your password) and something you have (a code from your phone) to log in
What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?
2FA is a security feature that helps protect your account even if your password is compromised. Once enabled, you’ll be asked for a six-digit code from an authenticator app every time you log in.
How do I set up 2FA on my account?
To enable 2FA:
In order to set up a GetGround account, you will be required to set up 2FA.
What authenticator apps can I use?
You can use any time-based one-time password (TOTP) app. We recommend:
-
Google Authenticator (Recommended)
-
Authy
-
Microsoft Authenticator
-
1Password (with 2FA support)
What happens if I lose access to my 2FA app or device?
If you can’t access your authenticator app, please reach out to our support team at gethelp@getground.co.uk. You will be required to fill out a security form and our team will be back in touch.
This process can take up to 1 business day. We recommend keeping backup access options enabled in your authenticator app if available.
